I teamed up with Sebas for a total of 5 weeks. A bit longer than usual because his Lola was having quirks and needed a fix up before the road trip back to the Netherlands could start. Lola being his car and Anouk his girlfriend who we had the pleasure to meet with because of Lola’s hiccup.

It was a pleasure. First of all Sebas turned out to be a lovable person, caring in the most natural way for the people around him (smoothies in the morning !) but also having a gentleness with, awareness of and curiosity for his natural surroundings. He put the Outdoor guide he was reading directly into practice and also bush crafted for us some pretty little flutes from our own canas (giant reed). 

Easygoing but clear in what he is comfortable with and it was exactly this that taught me a lot on how I can be less foggy out of eagerness to be ‘nice’ and how this improves the collaboration. 

And yes, also Sebas has a fully planted tree line with his name on it :) 

I like how the WorkAway experience does not only shape our landscape.
