Cancelling our trip to Ireland was tough.

We pushed ourselves to make the best of it and not spend all our time working (on the land or otherwise). Instead we planned diners with friends, went to the beach a few times and made several day trips.

On of those trips was to the old lighthouse at the very end of the Cape. We sometimes see the lights in the night, passing every few seconds.

Free tours are offered only on Wednesday afternoons and it is worth the climb. The workshop, still on the ground floor, is full of beautiful and historic tools and even one of the very first refrigerators. The tour is really interesting but the lamp itself is the climax of the visit. The light has an ingenious design and looks like a work of art made of glass. Stunning.

If you ever visit us.
