While most of the Mediterranean experiences 40-45 degrees Celsius, we are still very comfortable. Our weather station only peaked once at 25 degrees in the last seven days. 

Being very close to the coast causes an increased wind in the afternoon. A result of the land heating up by the Sun. The advantage is that it moderates the temperature, the disadvantage that everything dries fast and that the small trees experience stress from constantly being in movement. 
The current cold front around the Azores which makes the wind feel even a little chilly in the evening. We still need a duvet in the night.

Looking at the statistics over a longer period shows Summer temperatures are generally 25 to 28 degrees in the day. So far the highest was 31 degrees on June 24th.

The average temperature (days and nights) of June and July is less than 20 degrees because the temperature really drops in the night.
