At last we received our weather station. It was a Kickstarter project and like always this project planned too optimistically and delivered a few months later.

Its an Ecowitt WS90 or GW2001 (with extras). The brand is not very well known, but rather big in white label weather stations.

The nice thing about this particular model is no moving parts! The wind strength and direction are measured ultrasonic. The rain is measured haptically.

My first impression is that works rather well. Although for measuring rain I will certainly also keep the plastic measuring cup.
